Kami-sama (Japanese: "かみさま"), usually simplified to Kami, Is an upcoming antagonist that will first premiere through out Volume 4, and make a proper appearance in Volume 5.
Appearance[]
Kami is an electronic video player in the shape as well as the color of a singular, thick slice of bread. Their entire body is fully plastic and also slightly durable to small impacts like drops. In the middle is a retro screen-like part which displays info in a monotone black and olive color, though has been hardwired to play advanced medias like video games or movies, and even be able to be used for purchases. Kami displays a face most similar to small childrens smilely faces, but eventually can turn their face into extremely grotesque and realistic ones, even going as far as to add shading to their face. At the top of the screen writes "かみさま" in black, also symbolizing Kami's name, which means "God" in japanese.
Personality[]
Kami, despite being a video playing tablet-like toy, is surprisingly sentient. Their personality is ruthless and manipulative, manipulating anyone they can to display themselves as a kind hearted individual, or not even alive at all, just so someone can interact and "play" with Kami. They use their addictiveness from their installed games on them to forcibly have someone always playing with them at all times, just like someone on their phone or computer all the time. This leads to the user being dependent on Kami to be entertained, and in some cases, even makes Kami yearn for someone to play with. This has made Kami to be addicted to reeling in users to play with, one of their most important users to be The Thing, especially because The Thing craved some good doom scrolling after fighting Carhell. This has also lead to Kami to call their users their "best friends," even using this nickname to manipulate the user into being even more addicted with playing with Kami. Because of this, Kami has a soft spot for these "friends," because if Kami were to kill them, Kami would likely lose even more friends or lose their only playmate permanently.
Story[]
Kami has yet to appear, but their story will go like this: The Thing uses Kami as a small Gameboy-like device whilst staying at glaggleland. After being convinced that the theme park is more fun than Kami, The Thing throws Kami away on a whim and the glaggleland janitor picks it up on a whim, placing Kami by the control panels. When a giggler starts acting strange, erratically making involuntary movements, they combust and explode into smaller fragments, revealing small critter-like robotic pieces of bread akin to Kami, resting inside of the gigglers body. Its until then that one of the ferris wheels turns out to have a screen in the middle of it, revealing Kami to be in control of the entire theme park, sending out parasitized gigglers after the collagles and friends.
Relationships[]
The Thing - Extremely both positive and negative, Kami see's The Thing as one of "[their] most very bestest of the bestest of best friends in [their] entire existence," but at the same time envies The Thing for having much more fun than Kami because they are not bounded by a small casing. After the events of their defeat, Kami still despises but sort of misses The Thing playing with them again.
Mauricio - Kami likes poking fun at Mauricio by calling them "a stupidly over powered brat that barely knows how to unravel their powers" from time to time, but Mauricio is always stopped from attacking by an overly addicted The Thing.
Fakescar - Likes scaring Fakescar from time to time, but Fakescar always scares them back. Kami doesn't actually get frightened, but just acts like so to make Fakescar happy and possibly a playmate. Probably the only healthy relationship that Kami has.
Trivia[]
- Kami is heavily inspired by Pal Percy from Playtime With Percy, with the both sharing a green-black retro screen, both craving a friend (or in Pals case, a pal), and even having extremely "intricate" facial reactions as well as personalities.
- It has been confirmed that Kami may or may not have voice acting.
