BLUESCRN is the major antagonist of Chapter 1. They are the embodiement of a blue screen of death, sporting an emoticon mouth and no other details when not seen as a bluescreen themself. They can possess dead or alive characters, but sometimes, the possessed characters gain free will and become their own thing. (Example: Fakescar)
BLUESCRN, near the end of COMPUTER RESTORED., manages to get into dead Oscar's body, creating Fakescar, who later goes on to be the protagonist of REDEMPTION.
Appearance[]
On their initial debut, Bluescrn takes the appearance of a regular blue screen death screen. It is a solid blue with a ":(" face at the top-left corner and text identifying a problem.
When appearing for the first real time, they take the form of a slender-like version of the blue screen death, now having a circular head, a mane-like neck, and a skinny hourglass-like body. There are/can be arms, and they can use them.
Powers[]
- Bodily manipulation - Bluescrn can warp their body into different shapes, similar to that of acid and goo. It has been confirmed that they can change size but it would be harder to control as the size changes.
- Forceful crashing - If deemed necessary, Bluescrn can crash the volume, ending it and the universe that the volume takes place in, and killing everyone within. This is what they did in Volume 2, starting up Volume 3. This can be temporarily undone, just like how the mutated gligman forcefully dragged the volume on.
- Possession - Bluescrn can possess people, whether it is the carcass of a person or a living host. 2 Examples that have happened are when Mauricio was being controlled by Bluescrn after being decapitated, and how Bluescrn hosted Oscars deceased body whom had died in a similar manner.
- Reincarnation - Although not direct, Bluescrn was able to reincarnate as Fakescar via having some remains on Oscars lifeless body after The Thing threw them away. This does not mean Bluescrn has control over it, however, as Bluescrn would not reincarnate in the conventional sense.
Events[]
Even though Fakescar has alot of plot points, Bluescrn doesn't actually get shown very much. Below is a list of all events Bluescrn has been involved in.
- Version 48: Initial debut. Attempts to forcefully crash the Glaggle Sim.
- v50: Ditto.
- v53: Ditto.
- v70.75: Teased. Had dialogue in summary to not give anything away yet.
- v75: First proper introduction.
- v76: Decapitated by Mauricio.
- v107: Posseses Oscar's dead body, creating Fakescar.
- v128: Exits the room with the experience of getting jumpscared by Jungler
- v149: Rises to the top of the spire, gets pinhead magiced to be incapable of seeing the main group but knows they’re still there and slams his head against the precipice.
- v161: Gets harmed by a Flash Stone, creating GREENSCRN
Trivia[]
- It is theorized that BLUESCRN has siblings.
